2014 National Conference Preview — Optional Sessions
This year's National Conference is less than three weeks away. Christians from across the country will join us in Orlando as we explore what it means to be a Christian in a post-Christian culture.
In addition to the main sessions and times of questions and answers, there will be five optional sessions. Here's a preview of what you can except:
Suffering & the Sovereignty of God Q&A with R.C. Sproul Jr.
Ligonier Teaching Fellow, Dr. R.C. Sproul Jr., will be answering questions on the subject of God's sovereignty in suffering during a Q&A hosted by Lee Webb. This session concludes the special public Ligonier Connect course Dr. Sproul Jr. has been moderating this winter.
Jesus on Every Page by David Murray
Pastor and professor, David Murray, will discuss the theme of his book, Jesus on Every Page, showing Christ's presence throughout the Old Testament—in Creation, the Law, the Psalms, the Prophets, and the Proverbs.
Jonathan Edwards by Stephen Nichols
Ligonier Teaching Fellow, Dr. Stephen Nichols, will explore the life and labor of Jonathan Edwards. Edwards was one of America's greatest theologians who marveled at the beauty of God's work, and his perseverance through hardship.
Pilgrim's Progress: A Guided Tour by Derek Thomas
Pastor and theologian, Dr. Derek Thomas, will introduce us to one of the most widely-circulated books ever to be published in the English language, John Bunyan's The Pilgrim's Progress. This is also the subject of his new 19-part teaching series, The Pilgrim's Progress: A Guided Tour.
