Our Commitment to Financial Integrity
For more than 50 years, Ligonier Ministries has served the global church by providing biblical education and outreach opportunities. As a faith-based organization that affirms the sanctity of truth, we are committed to transparency and fully complying with state and federal requirements.
The IRS classifies Ligonier as an “Association of Churches” under the 501(c)(3) federal tax code. This provides us certain protections for our mission and donors, including:
- Safeguarding donor personal information and giving histories from unnecessary disclosure,
- Protecting our freedom to operate free from subjective and overreaching governmental requests,
- Sparing our employees from excessive and expensive paperwork, saving time and money that can be redirected to the ministry’s mission, and
- Ensuring our organizational classification accurately reflects our role in spreading the gospel to support the church worldwide.
