As the Director of Publications for Reformation Trust Publishing, Greg Bailey spends his time working with authors, editors, and proofreaders, editing and preparing manuscripts for print, and evaluating manuscript proposals. He also chairs the editorial committee that evaluates promising proposals for books that may be published by Reformation Trust.
Greg brings to the ministry a strong background in journalism. He earned his bachelor's degree from Virginia Tech, going on to spend fourteen years as a reporter and editor for daily newspapers, five years as managing editor for Tabletalk magazine (including four years writing the daily Bible studies), and three years helping to produce Sunday school curricula for Great Commission Publications.
Working with Reformation Trust has been the fulfillment of a longtime dream to work in book publishing. "It's a great privilege to work with the godly men and women who have written books for Reformation Trust, as well as my gifted colleagues at Ligonier who handle so many tasks of the book production process with true professionalism. I often reflect on how blessed I am to get to do this for a living."
A native of Virginia's Eastern Shore, Greg's hobbies are reading (especially history and biography), yard work, following the Atlanta Braves, fantasy baseball, and exploring the back roads of North Georgia. He and his wife, Kathy, have been married for twenty-five years and have two sons and two daughters, ages 22, 20, 18, and 14. Greg is ordained as a ruling elder in the Presbyterian Church in America. The Baileys are members of Cherokee Presbyterian Church in Canton, Georgia.
Reformation Trust is an important asset for Ligonier's purpose of awakening people to the holiness of God. As the authors unfold the Bible for readers, they exalt the God who is revealed in Scripture. We are committed to publishing only books that exalt God by making Him and His ways known among His people and in the world at large. We are thankful for Greg's servant leadership and his contributions to Reformation Trust Publishing.
