Ligonier National Conference - Joni Eareckson Tada (II)
Yesterday, in a preconference message, Joni Eareckson Tada shared "Good News in a Fallen World." She spoke again this morning and as she so often does, she prefaced her speech with a video and a song and concluded it with another song (in which she was joined by the assembly here). Her exhortation in this speech, built largely on stories from her many years of ministry, was to take the gospel to those near and far. She continually returned to Affirmation 18 from R.C. Sproul's book Getting the Gospel Right--an affirmation that speaks of the importance of taking the gospel to all the world. She warned us often that we must not let our apprehension become paralyzing--that we can't allow ourselves to be so afraid of being wrong that we do nothing at all. Instead, we must take the gospel wherever we go and must model the life of those who have been radically transformed by this good news. It was, you'll have to agree, classic Joni Eareckson Tada. The video will be available by tomorrow morning if you'd like to see it.
