Columns from Tabletalk Magazine, September 2017
The September issue of Tabletalk looks at the concept of soul winning with respect to people both inside and outside the church. In imitation of the Savior, the church is called to seek and to save the lost by evangelizing unbelievers (Luke 19:10) and to save the souls of professing Christians by bringing wandering believers back from apostasy (James 5:19–20). However, a poor understanding of the gospel, of discipleship, and of church discipline often keeps Christians from seeking to win the souls of those around them. This issue provides a comprehensive overview of soul winning in its various forms so that believers will be equipped to seek the lost and bear one another’s burdens in the church.
