Announcing Our Dedicated-Language Website in Hausa

By God’s grace, the church continues to grow across West Africa, where the language of Hausa is widely spoken. With more than 94 million speakers—and rapid population growth throughout the region—Hausa is now among the world’s twenty most-spoken languages.
To serve God’s people in West Africa and beyond, we have launched ha.Ligonier.org, Ligonier’s dedicated-language website in Hausa. This platform provides an online library of trusted Christian teaching and discipleship resources, with many more in development:
- Articles on important biblical and theological subjects
- Historic Christian creeds and confessions of faith
By God’s grace, the launch of this Hausa website completes Ligonier’s goal of establishing weekly ministry in each of the world’s top-twenty languages. This achievement also marks the beginning of a long-term effort to translate and expand our theological library across these languages. As this library grows, please pray that it will serve pastors, laypeople, and unbelievers of all ages with trustworthy, accessible teaching rooted in God’s Word.
Christians in Hausa-speaking regions face significant challenges. Much of northern Nigeria remains predominantly Muslim and governed by Sharia law. Widespread attacks by armed Islamic groups in recent years have resulted in tens of thousands of deaths and the displacement of millions. In these dreadful circumstances, there is an urgent need for clear, faithful discipleship resources to help the church stand firm.
Thanks to the generous support of ministry friends like you, ha.Ligonier.org is our twenty-third dedicated language website. As more resources are added, we pray that this expanding library will reach Hausa-speaking church leaders, laypeople, and unbelievers of all ages.
In addition to the Hausa website, we encourage you to share Ligonier’s Hausa social media channels on Facebook and Instagram to help reach more people worldwide with clear biblical teaching. Please pray that this trusted teaching will help Hausa-speaking Christians to stand firm against false teaching and to remain deeply anchored in God’s Word.
This worldwide gospel outreach depends on the prayers and generosity of faithful donors such as you. Thank you for helping to translate, publish, and distribute trusted Christian teaching so more people around the world may know the holiness and saving grace of our sovereign God in Christ.
