Dr. Gregory A. Poland is the Mary Lowell Leary professor of medicine at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine in Rochester, Minn., director of the Mayo Clinic's Vaccine Research Group, and editor-in-chief of the medical journal Vaccine.
