• Our Kinsman Redeemer Devotional

    Leviticus 25:23–28

We are accustomed to thinking of a sibling or a parent as our closest relative. For those who are in Christ, however, Jesus is our closest relative, our closest kinsman who paid our debt when we could by no means pay it ourselves. This willingness to pay the price for our salvation is evidence of His great love for us, love that He showed when we were unlovely. We must therefore love Him more than our spouses, siblings, parents, or children. View Resource

  • Our Kinsman Redeemer Devotional

    Leviticus 25:23–28

Jesus has paid the moral debt we owed to the Father for breaking the law of God. He was not obligated to pay this debt, and the Father was not obligated to accept this payment. But in their great love and mercy, they agreed to redeem us in order that we might receive an inheritance. Rejoice in the love and mercy that motivated Christ’s atonement. View Resource
