How can parents instill confidence in their children to trust the Bible?

1 Min Read

Parents can instill confidence by example, showing that they trust the Bible and that it proves itself. As we live the Christian life, we see that God’s Word does not return void but always accomplishes the purpose that He set for it.

In 2 Timothy 3, Paul says to Timothy, “You have been acquainted with the sacred writings from the time of your youth” (2 Tim. 3:15). It is as if he was saying, “They have never let you down, and they never will let you down.” In that same context, Paul said, “And remember from whom you’ve been taught” (2 Tim. 3:14). We know that Timothy had a godly mother and grandmother and that he had Paul. So, it is important that we trust the Bible, show by example that we trust it, and point to it.
