Soli Deo Gloria

The purpose of your life is the same purpose for which all things were created—to bring glory to God. In the sixteenth century, the Protestant Reformers coined the Latin phrase soli Deo gloria, meaning “to God alone be the glory,” to capture the Bible’s teaching that everything in creation, providence, and redemption is done for God’s glory and not our own. The resources in this collection define God’s glory, explore how it is woven throughout Scripture, and encourage us to apply this foundational doctrine to every aspect of our Christian lives to the glory of God alone.
