A New Faculty Member at Reformation Bible College: Dr. David E. Briones

1 Min Read

Nearly half-way through our third academic year at Reformation Bible College, we continue to grow at a rapid pace. With over 70 students, and many more already accepted or completing applications for the Spring and Fall semesters of 2014 we also continue to add to our faculty in order to keep pace with our growth. With this in mind, RBC is pleased to announce the newest member of our faculty, Professor of New Testament, Dr. David E. Briones.

David currently teaches biblical studies at Sterling College in Sterling, Kansas and has previously taught at several colleges in California. His Ph.D. was completed under the supervision of Prof. John Barclay at the University of Durham in northern England in 2011 and was a study of Paul's approach to financial giving. His dissertation will soon be published in the Bloomsbury/T & T Clark Library of New Testament Studies series as Paul's Financial Policy: A Socio-Theological Approach. He is co-editor of a forthcoming volume of essays to be published by Brill entitled Paul and Seneca in Dialogue and has authored several book chapters and articles in leading New Testament journals such as New Testament Studies and Journal for the Study of the New Testament. Even more importantly, he has a passion for reaching the hearts and minds of college students with the glorious truths of the gospel. He and his wife Mindy have a young son, Micah, and a baby daughter Hailey. Please pray for David and his family as they make the move from Kansas to Florida.

Please also continue to pray for RBC, that we would remain firmly grounded in the truths of God's infallible and inerrant word, and that we would faithfully pass these truths on to our students with skill and passion, all for the glory of God.
