Simply GOD Honoring
This has to be one of the greatest apologetic conferences that Ligonier has held. One of the most thorough, in depth conferences that deals with the problems not in a way that just simply skims the surface, but gives just enough that one is well-informed, yet yearning for more. It is simply Christ-Centered, edifying, and GOD Honoring. I am in no way hesitant to share the whole counsel of God (Acts 20:27) as these men do for the Glory of God.
The GREAT DEFENDERS of the faith in our time.
I have often dreamed about what it must have been like to listen to a sermon by Luther or Calvin, or Edwards, or Machen. I no longer wonder! My experience at this conference was as equal in profundity as would be listening to the great men of faith of the past. These men truly love our G-d, and have a passion for expositorily proclaiming His Word with clarity and depth. And what a delight it was to experience their great love of laughter and humor during the Q & A.
Subversion subverting...
This conference was the best of the best and thrilled my heart. What joy it was to sing great Christian hymns and watch them beautifully interpreted with signing for the deaf. What joy to be in the presence of men who honor God with all their hearts and minds. And what minds they are! Anyone who sees or hears recordings of this event will consider it one of the best blessings God has given them. It was a learning adventure in how to (as Mohler stated) "subvert subversion for the Glory of God!"
This will trult be an amazing resource for many.
This will truly be an amazing resource for those who are attempting to "Contend For the Truth" in our world where the Gospel is what is most needed.
I was there
This conference is for anyone engaging this postmodern culture. We just had to attend this national conference - who knows if this top-notch panel will assemble again: Sproul, MacArthur, Piper, Mohler, Zacharias at their finest! We've ordered two DVD sets: one for us and one for our church's library. We expect they will be in continual circulation for a year or so. Speakers give reasons for rational belief, and expose the many weaknesses of the "whatever!" position. The best conference we have ever attended.
