R.C. Sproul will be speaking this weekend at the venerable Philadelphia Conference on Reformed Theology at the historic Tenth Presbyterian Church in downtown Philly. The "PCRT" is probably the "granddaddy" of major Reformed Bible conferences in North America (as Keith Jackson might put it) and was founded in 1974 by R.C.'s late friend James Montgomery Boice.
Ligonier Ministries and RC are delighted to be a part of PCRT and to cooperate with its parent organization the Alliance of Confessing Evangelicals, also started by Dr. Boice. The conference this year features our great friends: Rick Phillips, Philip Ryken, Robert Godfrey, Carl Trueman, and Joel Beeke. R.C. will speak Friday evening and then preach the Sunday morning services at Tenth concluding the conference. The theme is "Precious Blood: Christ's Atoning Work."
Tenth Pres, by the way, is one of the great Protestant houses of worship in America -- architecturally it's fascinating. Most noteworthy is its long line of extraordinary, gifted pastor-theologians ministering down to this very day. A visit to PCRT is a must trip for theologically-minded folk. If you have made plans to be in the Keystone State this weekend for PCRT please come by and visit us at our Ligonier exhibition booth. I will be there Friday and Saturday representing the ministry. I love meeting pastors and church leaders and telling them about our new outreach to the local church. Hope to see you there!
