Greetings from the green forests of central Mississippi and Ligonier Ministries' humble church relations director. It's been my privilege this week to be here with a group of ministers committed to what one notable confession of faith calls "the ordinary means of grace." Simply put these not so ordinary means are extraordinary -- comprising prayer, preaching, and the sacraments. The men gathered at Twin Lakes Fellowship want to foster a desire for a church to be marked by the preaching, praying, teaching, and singing of God's holy, inerrant, and infallible Word. It's an important subject matter, one which we heartily endorse. We're delighted to be here this week representing Ligonier Ministries to these local churches and pastors.
Throughout the year I'll be at several dozen conferences, events, and church gatherings telling people about how Ligonier Ministries can work with them to come alongside the local church. Tomorrow I'll be in Atlanta, GA for the Philadelphia Conference on Reformed Theology and meeting with a new group of pastors and church leaders and listening to gifted teachers of God's Word.
When I meet ministers or church leaders I am always curious to hear how they came to their faith and why they are doing what they are doing. Often times, R.C. and Ligonier has played a role in their spiritual growth. If you plan to be in Atlanta this weekend, please come by and see me. Or, drop me an email at mduncan at ligonier.org. Tell me what God is doing in your church and let's work together to promote our common fraternity of Reformed faith and practice.
