Celebrate the glorious gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ and its centrality to the task of faithful, biblical pastoring at the 2008 Together for the Gospel conference.
What would happen if every time we spoke of the gospel we got it wrong? Would our evangelistic efforts introduce people to the wrong Jesus? It is imperative that we know, believe, and proclaim no other gospel than the one delivered by Jesus Himself. In these lectures from Ligonier Ministries’ 2008 National Conference, Sinclair Ferguson, Steven J. Lawson, John MacArthur, C.J. Mahaney, R.C. Sproul, R.C. Sproul Jr., and Joni Eareckson Tada teach the different aspects of the good news of Jesus Christ and explain how they must impact our lives and our evangelism.
“We have come together for the gospel.” With these words Mark Dever welcomed the more than 2,800 men assembled for the 2006 Together for the Gospel conference for pastors in Louisville, Kentucky. Mark Dever, Ligon Duncan, C.J. Mahaney, and Albert Mohler led the conference, joined by special guests John MacArthur, John Piper, and R.C. Sproul. Along with these men, pastors from many nations spent three days studying and celebrating the glorious gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ and its centrality to the task of faithful, biblical preaching and pastoring.
C.J. Mahaney is senior pastor of Sovereign Grace Church of Louisville in Louisville, Ky. He has also written several books, including Humility: True Greatness.
