Lecture 8, Thinks No Evil:

Scripture teaches that love thinks no evil, and as Christians we are called to reach for that perfect standard of love described in the Bible. But we read in the Bible more than once that Jesus rebuked the Scribes, Pharisees, and Sadducees of their evil ways, describing them with a range of words from “liars” to “children of the devil.” So how do we reconcile Jesus’ words with the law of love that says we are not to think evil of others? How can the Christian not think evil of others, especially when it is the Bible that teaches us that we are evil? Are we to pretend evil doesn’t exist? Considering these questions, Dr. Sproul helps us understand what it means when Scripture says that love “Thinks No Evil.”
