Lecture 7, Founded on the Apostles:

If someone wants to know about Jesus, then reading the words He spoke would be a fine place to start. However, it may be tempting to remain in the gospels and neglect of rest of the New Testament. For some, there is an unspoken assumption that there is more authority in the gospels than in the epistles. Why spend time reading the Apostles’ writings and traditions when you can go straight to Jesus in the gospels? But, as Dr. Sproul looks at this, he re-affirms what Jesus already established, that the church is “Founded on the Apostles.”
