• God’s Word in the Heart Devotional

    Psalm 119:9–16

When we have the Word of God hidden in our hearts, we are equipped to resist temptation because we are better able to discern what is truly good from that which is not good or edifying. We also acquire the wisdom for navigating the treacherous roads in our lives, enabling us to steer clear of problems that can entice us to sin. Are you making regular time for the study of God’s Word in your life both privately and as part of the corporate body of Christ? View Resource

  • Psalms Devotional

    Psalm 51

One of the first manifestations of ungodly wisdom occurred in the garden of Eden just after Adam and Eve ate the forbidden fruit. Instead of turning to the Lord, our first parents hid from Him. That is not the model that Scripture gives us. Wise people know that they cannot truly run from God and that it is better to come to Him when they sin than to hide themselves. Only He can provide the forgiveness and the covering for our shame that we need when we have fallen. View Resource

  • The Value of the Old Testament Devotional

    Romans 15:4

Certain books and passages of Scripture have played greater roles in the history of theology than others; thus, it’s no surprise that some portions of the Bible are read more often than others. However, we must not make the mistake of thinking that there is any unimportant part of Scripture. The Holy Spirit inspired it all, and it is all given for our edification (2 Tim. 3:16-17). Let us therefore study the whole counsel of God and not just isolated portions of it. View Resource
