Jesus came into the world as the light of salvation who illumines the path to God and is Himself the only means of reconciliation with the Father (John 12:46). Although many in our day want to reject the centrality and exclusivity of Christ, the name of Jesus remains the only name under heaven whereby we must be saved (Acts 4:12). This session will consider the person and work of Jesus Christ as the only way of salvation.

Second Timothy 3:16–17 tells us that all Scripture is God-breathed. Because it is the very Word of our Creator, Scripture has final authority over both the church and the individual Christian, and it is wholly reliable and trustworthy. This session will look at the authority and reliability of Scripture as the very Word of God.

The prevailing thought of modern Western society says that truth is relative, that there is no such thing as absolute and objective truth, particularly when it comes to religious and ethical issues. However, although people reject the notion of absolute truth, everyone lives as if there are objective, unchanging standards of truth. This session will defend the reality of objective truth in our relativistic age.

In this fallen world, there are many trials and difficulties that burden us and weigh us down with worry. However, Christians do not have to be trapped by these burdens, for Christ promises to give all those who come to Him an easy yoke (Matt. 11:28–30). This session will describe the hope we have in Christ, the one who gives us peace in a world of chaos.

This panel discussion will consider the state of the church in the United Kingdom. It will discuss ways that Christians can shine as lights in the United Kingdom and elsewhere.

Jesus tells us in Matthew 16:24–28 that the disciples of Jesus must be willing to suffer for the sake of His name. Suffering is part and parcel of the Christian life, as God works through it for our good and His glory, sanctifying us and conforming us to the image of Jesus. This session will explore the purpose of suffering in the Christian life, offering comfort to believers that God is good even in the midst of our pain.

Before ascending to heaven, Jesus gave His church a mission—to make disciples of all nations (Matt. 28:18–20). This is the most important task given to the church, and we must be careful never to let anything distract us from this responsibility and privilege. This session will highlight the mission of the church, calling Christians to work hard to make disciples of all nations, teaching them to obey all that Jesus has commanded.
