You'll sail beyond the Inside Passage into the more protected Alaska Inside Passage. Home to diverse wildlife—orca, mountain goats, bald eagles, bears, puffins, sea otters, and more—the complex labyrinth of fjords and bays are where whales and sea lions find refuge during the summer months. You'll never forget the sight of 40-ton whales hurling themselves into the air, almost completely escaping the water. You may even see them swimming together to create a bubble net, trapping and eating fish by the giant mouthful.

The five doctrines of grace—total depravity, unconditional election, limited atonement, irresistible grace, and the perseverance of the saints—are often memorized under the acrostic TULIP. These points were defined at the Synod of Dort during the seventeenth century in response to the Remonstrants, who followed the theological views of Jacob Arminius. This session will explain the historical background of the Remonstrant controversy, considering the views of the Remonstrants and the response of the Reformed.

We are not sinners because we sin, but we sin because we are sinners. Because we are lost in Adam, the only way any of us can be saved is if God chooses to redeem us. This session will explore the truths of total depravity and unconditional election. It will look at the depth of our fallenness and how it affects all that we are, and it will consider divine election, God’s choosing some out of the mass of fallen humanity to be His people.

Once under Russian rule, Sitka is located on Baranof Island, facing the Pacific Ocean. In fact the city-borough’s name itself, derived from Sheet’ká, literally means "People on the Outside of Baranof Island." Here, visitors can explore a number of nationally protected areas, including the Alaska Maritime National Wildlife Refuge, Saint Lazaria Wilderness and the Tongass National Forest.

Did Christ die to make it possible for everyone to be saved or did He die only for His elect, thereby guaranteeing their redemption? This is the question at issue in the doctrine of limited atonement, and this session will provide an overview of the doctrine that says Christ died to save only a particular people. It will look at key biblical texts that teach the doctrine and explain how it is a logical necessity given the truths taught in the other doctrines of grace.

Hubbard Glacier is the largest calving glacier on the North American continent. The glacier routinely calves off icebergs as high as 10-story buildings, sending massive blocks of ice into the sea every few minutes.

His saving grace will finally overcome all resistance to the gospel in the sinners He has chosen. When God’s grace meets man’s hardened, sinful will, His grace always wins in the end. This session will consider the power of God’s grace to convert all whom He has chosen to save.

Known as the 'Salmon Capital of the World', Ketchikan is also the ancestral home of the Tlingit people, who have carved the world's largest collection of totem poles. If you're up for an adventure, take a canoe and nature trail excursion through the rain forest or a wilderness exploration followed by a sumptuous crab feast you can't resist.

This is the doctrine of the perseverance of the saints, the comforting truth that we are secure in the hands of Christ in His kingdom forever. This session will cover the doctrine of perseverance, explaining its Scriptural basis and considering how it assures us of God’s love and mercy.
