A Destination for Hope...
More than 38 years ago, as it is today, the world was filled with challenges to biblical faith. Christians who sought to be equipped to answer these challenges had few options short of going to seminary. R.C. Sproul saw the need to offer an accessible, practical bridge of learning for the growing Christian, and Ligonier Ministries was born. Ligonier's educational mission continues today with a new place for learning devoted to serving both laymen and pastors, eventually offering a number of degree and non-degree programs for each. Why? Because we know that when the Bible is taught clearly, God will be seen in all of His majesty and holiness and hearts will be conquered, minds renewed, and communities transformed.

Our hope is for Ligonier Ministries to remain a trusted resource to help stimulate conviction and courage in our fallen world. We are excited about the future because we serve a great and sovereign God, and we know what we are called to do. Committed to training Christ's disciples to live in the Word and live out the Gospel, we want to build Ligonier Academy into a learning environment that prepares both lay people and pastors for real-world service and ministry. Knowing that reformation in the church is not only possible but also promised by the Lord, we believe that, by providing a destination for study, fellowship, and collegial interaction, Ligonier Ministries will maintain its intellectual edge and theological prowess and more effectively teach biblical Christianity to a new generation. |
