Reformation Study Bible A Blessing
Several months ago I purchased a copy of the Reformation Study Bible. It has been a blessing. I am a pastor and also teach reformed theology. I love the NKJV and am thankful for those who labored to make this study Bible a reality. To God be the glory. I highly recommend this study Bible to all that love the truth of the Reformation and Gods Sovereign Grace.
Thank you
I am Ukrainian. And I'm reading Russian version of this Bible. I bought this Book by chance in one of the christian book-store, but since that time i never saw a better way to present the God's Word. I've found a lot of help in the notes, maps, charts and articles to understand some difficult places and questions that I was looking for the answer for a long time, even several years. Thank you for the gift. God bless you.
Giving the Bible to a friend
I have used the New Geneva Study Bible for over 15 years and I am excited with the comments and study of Scripture. I have a Christan brother who wanted a copy of this Bible, but was unable to purchase one for himself. A friend gave me a substantial gift making it possible for me to purchase a copy and give it to him this Christmas. He loves God's Word and will be thrilled to receive this Bible.
Love this Bible
This is definitely one of, if not, the best study bible available. I wish the font was a little bit bigger, but overall, it's really not a big deal. NKJV and ESV are pretty comparable, so the translation issues don't really carry a whole lot of problems. The information is fantastic. It gives a very clear, precise commentary on the text. I'm on my second copy right now, and I still love this bible.
So excited!
I found this Bible is a store near Orlando, Fl. I only had it a few days and I can't put it down. I love this bible. It's well put together. The study notes are just what I needed to help clarify some of the difficult scrip-tures.
Awesome!! Highly Recommend!!
My wife has used her ESV Reformation Study Bible for the last 3 yrs and has almost worn it out. Since I prefer the NKJV I was excited that the New Geneva was still available. The leather binding is beautiful, and the words of Christ in red is awesome. It has great articles in the back and the maps are great as well. I do wish the print was a bit larger, but it's still very readable. In closing, I thank the Lord that now I can read basically the same Bible my wife reads, but in a translation I prefer.
New Geneva Study Bible=Reformation Study Bible
The New Geneva Study Bible is essentially the same bible as The Reformation Study Bible. Both great study bibles, I just wish that this information was disclosed in the discription of the product. If you have The Reformation Study Bible you don't need this one. The translations seem to be the only difference NKJV, ESV. I recommend buying one but not both unless you like duplicates.
Excellent Study Bible!
C.H. Spurgeon once said, reformed theology is "nothing other than biblical Christianity." As I mature in my faith, I agree, and the New Geneva Study Bible is an excellent resource for that very reason. Excellent combination of the NKJV translation and keeping with reformed (biblical) theology in the commentaries. This Bible is also a single column which I considered a bonus. Highly recommend!
A Gift.
This Study Bible with all it's notes and helps is an answer to prayer. Other Study Bibles never seemed to give me the information I was seeking. The New Geneva does. As a Reformed Believer, this is refreshing and lets me know, I am not alone in my theology. Nor am I reading things into the scriptures. And still, it teaches me. I have four and have given one to my husband as a gift. He too loves it, and uses this only, for Study. Thank you!
Very useful study Bible with Reformed doctrines
At last a Reformed Study Bible emphasizing the historic Reformed doctrines. This is a treasury of the Biblical teachings recovered by the Reformers during the Protestant Reformation. The numerous study notes and summaries of the major points of Reformed Theology make this Bible indispensable for any Bible student who wishes to understand the analogy of Scripture. The vision of many classical Christian scholars has been fulfilled in this work that unites the historic faith found in both the Old and New Testament.
The best gift
On January 6, 2000, My Father and Mother gave me the New Geneva Study Bible as a gift, 3 months before I graduated from college. Since I had other smaller, less cumbersome Bibles, I laid it to the side. Interestingly, after I was married, my Husband and I were introduced to TableTalk. Now the only Bible I use is the New Geneva Study Bible, because I learn so much from the notes. I daily delve into the Word of God because of the guidance and Scripture references in TableTalk. Until recently, I didn't even realize that R.C. Sproul was one of the people who helped to bring about this New Version of the Geneva Study Bible. How wonderful! I treasure this Bible and consider it one of the best gifts I have ever received.
