The best new translation in many years.
I picked up a copy of the ESV recently. It is becoming my primary Bible for reading and study. It used to be that I would read the NASB for study and the NIV for general reading. This translation fulfils both roles. It's accurate, articulate, and very readable. I attend a church where the NIV is the translation that is preached from. I have no trouble following along in my ESV. It is my opinion that the ESV has the potential to become the new standard for evangelical Christianity in the English speaking world. My compliments to Crossway and the translators for producing this translation.
