Samuel Davies was born in Delaware and died in Princeton NJ. He was a
Presbyterian, who was highly regarded as a preacher, and for educating
minorities. When Jonathan Edwards died, Davies was chosen as his
successor. The great English preacher, Martyn Lloyd-Jones, called Davies, "the
most eloquent preacher America ever produced."
Soli Deo Gloria published his 3 volume "Works," but the set has sold
out and is out of print. A few of volume 1 remain, however. |
