One of the great cries of the Protestant Reformation was "Soli Deo Gloria," which is Latin for "Glory to God Alone." Only when God is glorified can people find their sense of purpose, worth, and fulfillment. For that reason, Soli Deo Gloria Publications (SDG) focuses on theology proper--the character of God. We take seriously the command to love God with all of our mind; but it is not theology for its own sake, but practical theology for people who long to please God.
SDG seeks to deepen and strengthen the individual's walk with Christ through the rich heritage of those who have gone before us, and who have "fought the good fight and finished the race." By bringing back into print teaching that has stood the test of time, we are seeking to assist God's people in their quest for personal holiness and conformity to the image of Christ.
Publications
Since SDG began publishing the Puritans in late 1988, we have printed over 300 titles, and have sold over 750,000 volumes. Our books are sold around the world by distributors in the United States, and in such far away places as the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Singapore, Korea, and the Philippines.
Our emphasis has always been the writings of the English and American Puritans, but we have also published works by noted 18th and 19th century writers, as well as the late Dr. John H. Gerstner, and compilations from John MacArthur, R. C. Sproul, Michael Horton, and others.
More and more we are reprinting first-time reprints: books that have never been reprinted in a modern form, many since their original printing nearly 400 years ago.
