Dear Student,
This year we are celebrating two major milestones in the history of Ligonier Ministries. In July, we celebrated the 35th anniversary of the beginning of the ministry, and now we are celebrating the 30th year of the publication of Tabletalk, our daily bible study magazine. Tabletalk continues to be central to the outreach of Ligonier Ministries, with more than 48,000 subscribers and more than 750,000 issues distributed in 2005.
I think it is fitting that the year in which we begin to celebrate our 30th anniversary of publishing a magazine is the same year that we have launched our own publishing label. From the day we began ministering in Pennsylvania, I had a dream that at some point we would be able to start our own publishing outreach that would be committed to the publishing and distribution of books grounded in the historic Christian faith. With last year’s acquisition of Soli Deo Gloria and this year’s launching of Reformation Trust Publishing, that dream has finally come to pass.
Reformation Trust will be dedicated to publishing my new books as well as those of other contemporary authors. It will seek to be a reliable resource for you as you build a library of essential Christian literature. These will be books worth reading. Please pray for us as we begin this new outreach. Also be watching for titles to begin appearing this fall, the first of which is my new book on worship, A Taste of Heaven.
Please help us to continue producing quality teaching materials. There is so much we could do to communicate the vital message that God is holy. Our only obstacle is a lack of funds. I’m hoping that you will consider supporting the ministry this fall, so that with the Lord’s help the distribution of materials from Ligonier Ministries will increase our outreach around the world.
