WHY WE'RE DOING THIS
There is a perennial temptation for the church to turn away from the power God promises in His ordinary means of grace and seek “better” ways to equip the saints and reach out to the world around us. In the Middle Ages the church looked for power in relics — like splinters from Christ’s cross and the pants of Joseph. Today the church seeks power by capitulating to postmodern notions of truth or by redefining the Gospel to make it more palatable to the unbeliever. The church will not survive in the West if this trend is not reversed; more importantly, we will not see the glory of God exalted in our midst unless we return to the methods and practices He has given to edify His church. Our purpose in this conference is to encourage pastors and church leaders to proclaim faithfully the Word of God and help them learn to conduct their ministry in a way that will keep the Lord and His glory at the center of their efforts.
