Stephen Meyer & R.C. Sproul Talk Intelligent Design, Philosophy & Education
from Karisa Schlehr Mar 08, 2010 Category: Ligonier Resources
One of Dr. Sproul's main goals and missions over the years is for Christians to understand who God is and be able to defend their faith by knowing what they believe and why they believe it. Several years ago, Focus on the Family introduced a very popular DVD-based small group curriculum called The Truth Project. In 2009, a new DVD-based apologetics curriculum was released called TrueU, this time geared for students ages 15-22. Dr. Stephen Meyer is the host of that new series and Dr. Sproul recently sat down with him in our studios to talk about it. Keep Reading -

from Karisa Schlehr Feb 25, 2010 Category: Reformation Trust
Reformation Trust Publishing is releasing a new book this month by Dr. Sinclair Ferguson entitled By Grace Alone: How the Grace of God Amazes Me. The inspiration for this title came from a little-known hymn, "O How the Grace of God Amazes Me," by African pastor Emmanuel T. Sibomana. One of the things that makes this hymn unusually unique is that it touches on aspects of grace other hymns do not address and provides content worthy of further exploration. Each of the eight chapters of By Grace Alone is based upon a stanza of the hymn. Keep Reading -

from Karisa Schlehr Jan 27, 2010 Category: Events
This Friday, January 29, is the last day to get the Early Bird Registration Rate of $89 for the 2010 West Coast Conference in Los Angeles, Calif. The term evangelical has no meaning without the evangel — the good news — and countless churches are preaching a message that has little if anything to do with the biblical gospel. Drs. Michael Horton, John MacArthur, Peter Jones, and R.C. Sproul will come together to examine many of the popular misunderstandings of the gospel in our day and seek to equip evangelicals to stand firm with the good news delivered once for all to the saints.
