Our Executive Staff
John Cobb is vice president of outreach. John joined Ligonier in 2003, and he serves by advancing Ligonier's vision around the world through numerous venues, helping to deliver resources to people who want to learn about God and His Word. He previously served in marketing at Ligonier, and he earned a bachelor's degree in psychology from Covenant College.
Chris Larson, is president and chief executive officer. Chris joined Ligonier in 2004, and he directs and leads all strategic outreach initiatives and oversees daily ministry operations, seeking to spread the historic Christian faith to as many people as possible. He previously worked in the educational and corporate world before joining the ministry, and he holds a bachelor's degree in marketing from the University of Central Florida.
Jim Moore is vice president of operations. Jim joined Ligonier in 2012, and he helps to plan, direct, and coordinate necessary functions and administration in support of the ministry. He lends Ligonier the knowledge he gained from a career of military service as well as from private-sector employment. Jim earned a bachelor's degree in management from the United States Air Force Academy and a master's degree in human resource development from Webster University.
Stephen Nichols is chief academic officer and president of Reformation Bible College. Steve joined Ligonier in 2014, and he helps to maintain the academic and theological integrity of the ministry. He was previously research professor of Christianity and culture at Lancaster Bible College in Pennsylvania. He holds a bachelor's degree from Philadelphia College of Bible, master's degrees from Westminster Theological Seminary and West Chester University, and a Ph.D. in church history from Westminster Theological Seminary.
Burk Parsons is vice president of publishing. Burk joined Ligonier in 1999, and he serves as editor of Tabletalk magazine and oversees Reformation Trust Publishing. Burk is also co-pastor of Saint Andrew's Chapel in Sanford, Fla., and a visiting lecturer at Reformed Theological Seminary in Orlando, Fla. Burk holds a bachelor's degree in biblical studies from Trinity College of Florida and a master of divinity degree from Reformed Theological Seminary.
John Petersen is director of development. John joined Ligonier in 2001, and he serves by growing Ligonier's support while at the same time articulating the ministry's vision to the world. Before coming to Ligonier, he had a career with Sears as manager of the Orlando district marketing call center, and he is an active member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and the Christian Leadership Alliance. John has a bachelor's degree in business management from the University of Central Florida.
Bob Stephens is director of information technology. Bob joined Ligonier in 2012, and he serves by supporting the ministry in its hardware and software related functions. Bob joined Ligonier after several years of serving as a consultant, and he has experience in a variety of roles in management, information sciences, and programming. Bob has a bachelor's degree in mathematics and computer science from Emory University and a master's degree in computer science from the University of Florida.
Randi Walter is director of stewardship. Randi joined Ligonier in 2008, and she helps supporters use their resources to meet financial goals and contribute to the ongoing efforts of Ligonier to serve Christ and His church. Randi has served various organizations in a similar capacity since 1996. She holds a bachelor's degree in psychology from Pennsylvania State University.
Lee Webb is vice president of broadcasting and host of Renewing Your Mind with R.C. Sproul. Lee joined Ligonier in 2013, and he serves by overseeing and appearing on Ligonier audio resources and channels both online and on the air. Before coming to Ligonier, Lee worked in a variety of broadcasting venues, and for nineteen years he served as the lead anchor for the Christian Broadcasting Network. He holds a bachelor's degree from Auburn University.
